POWER ELECTRICAL ENGINEER


Design and develop LED drivers, LED Light Engines, LED boards, and/or related modules, using approved design techniques and working with LED driver IC companies. The job function also includes subsequent follow-up through subcontract production and field application. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work from specific objectives and use prescribed methods to develop designs for LED drivers, LED Light Engines, LED boards, enclosures, packaging, and/or material related processes that meet specified cost and performance parameters.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with LED driver IC companies, to review, evaluate, and modify their reference designs of LED drivers, then integrate into LED lighting product.
  • Determine assembly and test procedures and specifications for new products, materials, or processes.
  • Specify tests for product compliance with the applicable standards required by government agencies; and conduct and monitor the tests through outside laboratories.
  • Evaluate product, material, or process performance as necessary to support the Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Support, and Marketing functions.
  • Issue complete and concise reports regarding the performance of new or improved company products, as well as products made by our competition.
  • Participate in the initial production phases of product and all subsequent manufacturing inquiries and problems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in EE/Optics/Physics or related field.
  • Graduate degree or PhD in Power Electronics field would be preferred.
  • 1 to 4 years experience in LED Drivers, Electronic Ballasts or Switching Power Supplies is required.
  • Strong technical skills with detailed knowledge in an appropriate discipline.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with and contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Personal computer expertise, especially using spreadsheets, word processing, and database type applications.

LED OPTICAL TESTING ENGINEER/MANAGER


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Optical Characterization for Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs).
  • Data Collection and Reporting.
  • Maintenance of electrical and optical testing equipments for LED characterization.
  • Develop testing and binning methods for manufacturing line.
  • Coordinate and support LED tests for R&D and Marketing.
  • Hands-on development of test equipment automation and improvements to test methodology.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of test equipments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in EE/Optics/Physics or related field.
  • Experience in LED optical testing is preferred.
  • 3+ years of Hands-on experience in electrical and optical equipments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works efficiently and independently in a team environment.





SENIOR MANUFACTURING / PROCESS ENGINEER


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving manufacturing processes in an LED assembly and test area.
  • Responsible for transferring processes from development to manufacturing.
  • Project management of manufacturing process transition from U.S. to Overseas.
  • Work on continuous improvement process to improve the process and test yield.
  • Work with manufacturing manager to reduce cost, improve cycle time and production line efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
  • 5 + years of appropriate manufacturing and / or Engineering experience.
  • Semiconductor IC packaging experience may be considered; LED packaging experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of LED device preferred.
  • Requires experience with die bonding, wire bonding, encapsulation and testing equipment used in the assembly.
  • Experience with off-shore transitions of manufacturing processes / products preferred.
  • Familiarity with TQM, Quality methodologies.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.





QA ENGINEER


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA), Quality Systems for a leading LED manufacturer. The products include LED emitters, LED lamps and modules.
  • IQC:
    • Ensure that the raw materials meet or exceed specifications.
    • Establish proper IQC controls and sample evaluations.
    • Provide statistical data on the incoming quality of materials; Work with suppliers to improve quality of their materials.
  • IQA
    • Ensure that the products meet or exceed specifications.
    • Support the outgoing quality inspections, processes.
    • Manage the RMA processes. Ensure timely analysis and resolution of RMA parts. Track and improve RMA process to ensure quicker response to customers.
  • Manage and communicate ECN changes to internal functions.
  • Responds to customer inquiries, concerns, and formal complaints. Providing immediate containment actions along with permanent corrective and preventive actions developed jointly by appropriate cross-functional problem solving teams.
  • Work with marketing and customer service to ensure CCNs are sent out on time whenever appropriate.
  • Defines and implement quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Champions quality improvement initiatives within the manufacturing and operations groups.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Audit experience preferred. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 preferred.
  • CQE, CQA certification a plus.
  • Six Sigma experience a plus.
  • Experience leading First Article Inspections.
  • Experience reading and Utilizing BOMs, Specifications and Blueprints.
  • Understanding of product development.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to completely resolve issues.

MATERIAL'S PLANNER


The purpose of this position is to support LedEngin's operations group in Supply Chain activities. The Planner will interact with suppliers, manufacturing, and accounting. The Planner is required to have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills to support supply chain, reporting, issue management, and data management. The Planner will continuously improve supply chain processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the purchasing process for production raw materials, and the research of new suppliers and raw materials for future products.
    • Responsible to update and control inventory levels at different warehousing locations.
      • Responsible for tracking the consumption of raw material.
        • Participate in the determination of material requirements to support production.
          • Elaborate forecasts to provide to suppliers in support of the production plan.
            • Coordinate logistics of raw materials transfers, and finished goods transfers between manufacturing and Contract manufacturers.
              • Support the customer service process.
                • Create reports summarizing inventory status at different locations, and the expected production plan by product.
                  • Calculate Supply Chain metrics on a monthly basis.

                  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
                  • BS/BA with 2 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: purchasing, inventory management, planning Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
                    • Excellent analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Line production technician supports any or all process in LED assembly area.
    • Operate production equipment such as die bonder; wire bonder, encapsulation tools to achieve production output process WIP through production operations to meet the daily production targets.
      • Work with chemicals as required per specification.
      • Participate in cycle time reduction activities and yield improvement activities.
      • Cross-train at additional operators?- Provide training and manufacturing expertise to less experienced operators or technicians.
      • Record process data as required per specification.
      • Work and perform in a "Team" environment.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Certificate, Diploma in engineering or equivalent (mechanical, electrical or electronic).
      • 3+ years of relevant production technician experience in a LED or semiconductor assembly or packaging.
      • Must be able to read, write and understand English
      • Basic math skills also required. Basic computer skill is required





R&D TECHNICIAN


Led Engin, Inc, a leading company on R&D and manufacturing of ultra-bright LED components and modules invites applicants for R&D technicians. R&D technician will assist engineers to build prototype for new products or new manufacturing methods. College degree is preferred. Laboratory or manufacturing experience is required. The technician will be asked to operate independently various assembly and optical testing equipment including die bonder, wire bonder, dispenser, reflow oven, soldering irons, die shear and wire pull tester, temperature and humidity chamber and optical spectrum analyzer. Under guidance from engineers, the technician is expected to work with skill and creativity in making prototype devices by optimizing process parameters, identifying root cause and developing alternative solution for assembly or testing problems.





LED PACKAGING/TESTING TECHNICIAN


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support engineering team to develop various light emitting diodes (LED) products in a R&D environment.
    • Perform various aspects of LED packaging.
      • Test LED performance.
      • Support the design of different LED components.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • AA in technical field or significant applicable experience required.
      • 2+ years experience in semiconductor industry.
      • Must be very skillful in hands-on work.
      • Must have physical dexterity and mobility, including standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
      • Excellent attention to details and ability to focus on bringing jobs to completion.
      • Ability to read, interpret and follow engineering specifications.
      • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
      • Ability to effectively organize and plan personal workload.
      • On-the-job experience on SolidWorks 3D drawings and design is a huge plus.
